Tarot Readings

The traditional Tarot deck has 78 cards in two groups known as Arcana. The Minor Arcana is similar to what we regard as a standard deck of playing cards. There are four suits, with 14 cards in each. They are numbered 1 through 10 and then there are also four Court cards in each suit. The suits are traditionally Wands (or rods), Swords, Cups (or Chalices) and Pentacles (or Discs or Coins).

The Major Arcana has 22 cards often numbered 0 through 21. The Major Arcana usually have titles as well as numbers. The following is a typical example of Major arcane titles. Please note that the Strength and Justice cards may be transposed in some decks.
